Hot Health and Wellness Tips for Mind, Body & Spirit

 |  | 5 Comments

One of my favorite things to do when I was a kid was ride over to the corner-store and get candies and cup-cakes and whatever other fine delectables my heart desired. My newspaper delivery job gave me plenty of cash-flow to support my cherished devices and I never once thought about the impact it may have on my health other than a few cavities.

Well I was a pretty sickly kid, for the most part, constantly battling bronchitis, chronic fatigue, cardiovascular issues and a weak immune system. I never made the connection between diet and health until one of my friends tipped me off about it in my last year of high school. While that seems a bit late to begin to see the light, it’s even more astonishing to see so many who never really make the connection, even after having a near fatal health crisis!

Fortunately for me, I am now healthy as a horse, I never get sick and the quality of my overall well being is better than ever. But that is far from the case of so many, so I thought I’d pass on some hot health and wellness tips that  not only  cover good health habits for the body, but also for the mind and spirit-   so you  may benefit the same way I have.

  •  CARE OF YOUR BODY

Diet & Nutrition
Keep a healthy and well-rounded diet for proper nourishment by eating foods as close to as nature intended. The most efficient way our body assimilates nutrition is from whole-foods and super-foods which enables genuine nourishment at a cellular level; Much better than artificially extracted nutrients and supplemental mega-doses, wholefoods and superfoods have nutritional profiles of perfect symmetry for optimum cohesion within the organic process of assimilation.

Hypocrates, the father of medicine, had a quite simple health program:  “Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food

Loading nutrients into our body that have been synthetically extracted and crammed into mega-doses, will only cause our body to resist as if it were a drug.  A more effective way to go is to supplement deficiencies by eating more foods that are rich in the nutrients needed.   Certain types of isolated supplements are not so bad, but our bodies generally do better with a combined balance of nutritional co-factors,  as opposed to an isolated form.

Superfoods are an excellent form of natural supplements. Below is a list of some of the worlds top superfoods:

Avoid processed and refined foods, genetically modified foods, high sugar and fat foods, meat raised on steroids, certain additives and poisons. Below is a list of just some of the common poisons found in our food:

-Make it a personal policy to read ingredient labels and know what it is before putting it in your mouth. Furthermore, give your due diligence to research and educate yourself on the above items.

Cleanses
Because of the toxins and other elements in our environment which we cannot completely escape from, most of us are much more toxic than we realize- as optimum health can be significantly hindered. Below is a list of cleanses which may dramatically lighten the load of toxicity levels:

  • Colone Cleanse
  • Parasite Cleanse
  • Liver & Gall Bladder Cleanse
  • Fat Cell Cleanse
  • Kidney Cleanse
  • Heavy Metal Cleanse
  • Candida Cleanse

EMF Protection
EMF, or electro-magnetic frequency, travel all throughout our environment from various electronic devices. We can’t escape it, but we can neutralize it with EMF protection devices.  A  well explained definition of the harmful effects of EMF radiation and how we can neutralize these effects with protection devices is given here: http://www.blockemf.com/

Health Care and “The System”
It’s important to differentiate genuine health-care from the “system” of health-care. Quite obviously, the “system” is driven by politics and economics, not health. With all due respect to those sincere individuals within the system who are aiming to make a real difference, much of our “health care” is a more harmful than helpful.

The health-care system does have certain value for certain things, but it is, by-and-large, fundamentally flawed with far too many mixed motives and agendas which require it necessary to proceed with cautious and critical thinking in the event when we need professional care. Whether you choose conventional treatment or alternative means, it is wise and worthwhile to take charge of your own health in a responsible and vigilant way, as opposed to relinquishing to blind faith.

Exercise & Fitness Routine
Staying physically active is, of course, a key part of keeping  our body in good health. There are endless types of activities and methods that can be used in association to various interests, needs and conditions each of us have. Consider that enjoyment is also a key part of health and can serve as a strong motivational factor, so choosing physical activities that are suited for your particular enjoyment is a smart way to go while the benefits of fitness simply become a byproduct of your favorite activities. Works pretty darn good for me!

What is your body trying to tell you?
Being sensitive and aware of what our body is saying is a very healthy practice; when you’re unusually tired or thirsty, you may need to get some extra fluids and rest- maybe your body is detoxing or fighting off a virus and needs you to cooperate. Listen to what your body is trying to tell you.

  • CARE OF YOUR MIND & EMOTIONS

-Here’s a few hot tips to help keep the state of your mind and emotions in good health:

Monitoring your inner-senses at all times is quite a healthy habit to adopt; Keeping a pulse on all your thoughts, emotions and sensations will enable you to swiftly make any corrections and adjustments needed to better manage your well-being.

Managing your stress level is of the utmost importance! Developing a strong mindset and broader perspective is the real key to managing stress . Also, there are certain practical techniques that help such as relaxation & breathing techniques , physical exercise or special stress point methods such as the ‘Callahan Technique

Keep a healthy living environment by distancing yourself from critical and cynical-minded people, even if they happen to be friends and family. Spend more of your time with positive and encouraging people who are pleasant to be around and are  only challenging in a positive way.

If emotional and/or psychiatric challenges are too overwhelming, than finding competent professional may require some real diligence.  There are many inept professionals that can do more harm than good so  remember to be vigilant and responsible for your health and know that competent-based faith in a doctor is ok, but not blind-faith.

  • TAKE CARE OF YOUR SPIRITUAL STATE
  • Keep daily spiritual disciplines like prayer & meditation, reading scripture, journaling and the application of faith
  • Keep your perspective and objectivity of the ‘Big-Picture’ along with your personal purpose and passion.

  • THE INTER-RELATION BETWEEN YOUR MIND, BODY & SPIRIT

-Don’t forget how much your physical health is impacted by your mental, emotional and spiritual health -and- vise-versa; If one faculty of our being suffers, they all do. Maintain and keep all your members healthy and enjoy life!
