Real health and wellness is not just a product or program, but a lifestyle. It’s having a vested interest in the state of our body & being, and naturally living in a healthy way. When one see’s the profound value of their health, there is appropriate practice that is value-driven as opposed to compulsion.
Unfortunately, most people are not making the association between their health and overall lifestyle, and do not recognize the value of taking a holistic approach. Most of us would rather just pop a pill or chug a shake and be done with it, without making any appropriate lifestyle changes.
This is why most people do not experience the results they hope for, because they would rather have what is convenient over what really works; Or many folks only think about what is more cost-effective without considering what is health-effective, and end up spending much more money on treatment for bad health.
A real health and wellness lifestyle is the key to making that breakthrough where you have previously plateaued; It’s the missing link between you and the results you always longed for.
-Too busy?… All the more reason to be sure that your body & being is working at optimum performance to function more productively and efficiently.
-Not motivated enough?… See how motivated you become when you get genuinely nourished with better nutrition, more rest, less stress and regular exercise!
-Too many bad habits?... Adopt more and more good habits and see how little room is left for the bad ones.
Remember your body is your life-vehicle and you cannot trade-it-in for a new one, so take care of yourself by living a real health and wellness lifestyle.

You know – I was trying to eat healthier than I already do and it is just so hard with running around and being busy…
I need an alternative…to the protein bars — they are getting old.
This is motivating to me – Thanks Scott.

Great advise, Scott. And people don’t have to make all the changes to a healthier lifestyle all at once. Maybe, taking one change at a time, turning it into a way of life, then adding a second change, creating a habit out of it…add a third change, etc. Such a great reminder that we are in charge of our own well-being. Thanks!

That’s a great point you made Debe -about taking it one step at a time. When I think about it, a healthy lifestyle was a gradual process for me. Thanks for your thoughts Debe

You make excellent points here. It’s not always easy and it is important. I find it’s important to be consistent and make it a priority as well.

Yes- Susan, consistency is key and it is very worthwhile making a priority, even though we get so busy and it’s not always so easy.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

This is so interesting. What I find in working with clients is that they don’t put themselves as a priority and for whatever reason (many emotional) won’t put the consistently and work into changing their own lifestyle that they might put into something for their kids, spouse or work.

I too find it quite interesting JuliAnn, when people don’t make their health & well-being a priority- maybe they think it is selfish to be that way, but yes- there are usually some emotional blocks there and even some mental snags in many cases. Thanks for your thoughts

Thanks Scott. I love you posts! I agree with you. It’s a total approach. One of my favorite authors reminds us that a human is a combination of spirit, mind, heart and body. When one is out of balance. It will do so to the rest. I love your simple steps to get back on track.

Yes, absolutely Nelson, the mind, body and spirit are all interrelated!
Thanks for your thoughts!

Love the points you make here. I recently put myself on a migraine-trigger diet, not to lose weight but to see if some common foods were causing my headaches. I gave up wine, caffeine, chocolate, potatoes and baked goods. Not only did my headaches go away, but I lost 8 pounds and feel really good. As a woman of 55 with two teenagers, I want my body to last! That, paired with exercise, water and enough sleep every night help my energy levels stay high!

Sounds like you have a nice and well-balanced routine going on Laurie- and I know that’s not so easy to give up those things, but I’m sure you realize how nice it is to feel good and have energy and mental clarity- way to go!
